HI & welcome to Barbara Pahmeyer’s corner. I was the baker of the house while growing up in a family of 9. I started showing an interest when I was in elementary school. Mom taught me how to bake – whether it was cookies, cakes, pies, brownies, etc. I was always baking something, either for us to eat at home or for a school function. Once I got into high school, I took Home Economics Classes & was selected as the Homemaker of the Year!

After getting out on my own, I didn’t bake that much, but once I met my future husband, that all changed 29 years ago. I’m now a stay at home Mom who has retired from Corporate America after 32 years. I have a HUGE passion for baking & it’s not unusual for me to bake every week; whether it is cookies, cakes, pies, cobblers – you name it. My family likes anything that is SWEET!
